It started with a Hello Kitty Polaroid. I was six years old, it was my first camera, and my love for art, visuals, filmmaking, and storytelling began. Despite this, I grew up believing I wanted to go to law school, run for office, or become a spy (although, that last one is still true.) Even after I moved 3,000 miles away for my start in the entertainment industry, what I imagined I’d choose for my career evolved quite a bit over time. I believed I’d write for TV, become a cinematographer, or become a top talent agent; though if I could tell my younger self anything, is that good art - and anything worthwhile, for that matter - is always the result of a process and evolved ideas. I often joked in another life I’d be an interior designer, so when I realized production design is like interior design for film, I realized I had finally found the “dream” career we’re all told about. I’m proud to have extensive knowledge of who I am and experience in many different areas of the filmmaking process, which provides me with a strong base from which to tackle any project.
A proud alumna of Chapman University (BFA Television Writing & Production ‘20, BA Communication Studies ‘20,) I am ready to continue to learn from others and obtain hands-on experience while bringing creative passion to everything I do. I am happiest working as part of a team creating something bigger than any one of us could do alone, and I am eager to create more stories to tell while further developing my skills in art and design.
